Big And Small Wounds

"Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."
- Isaiah 53:4,5 (NIV)

Time seemed slow as I took a few steps discovering each room in my house. Different sizes…Some were huge spaces. Others were cramped up. But all of their sights brought me worries. Pain. Suppressed memories that came back to life again. A minor thud somewhere outside woke me up as I still lingered that vision. The house was my heart. The rooms were the many scars brought upon by events. By people. Some hurt a little. Others hurt a lot. I found myself praying as my eyes opened to the darkness of the night. My scars and some fresh wounds in my heart were being met by the scars He endured on the cross. His scars reminding me of His mercy, love and grace.

Father, I lift up all of Your children to never lose hope and be able to overcome life’s sorrows and burdens that wound their hearts and some already living with painful scars. Lord, I pray for Your healing and help Your children always remember that what scarred Your hands and feet became the wounds of victory! Thank You Lord for Your unconditional love, mercy and grace. All the glory belong to You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

  3. Dear Rosel
It is his mercy and love that will heal the wounds of our hearts. I wrote this comment first, then I will click on the video.

May every blessing God intended for you never be stolen by the enemy.

    Much love

  8. Big Wounds!
Worked for a landscaper (not a believer) last year. Put a tree through my hand. Went to my doc.
He stopped the bleeding, gauzed me, and sent me to the hospital.
Specialist 1 and 2 took pictures to see extent of damage.
One of them decided my thumb and index were so deadly purple, they must be amputated.
In pain, I screamed NO. Not because of losing the parts.
"I am deaf! I just learned how to communicate with fingers. I can't talk on my left hand!"
A nerve surgeon, first woman of the 4 folks so far, said she believed, even with some nerve damage,
she could save the finger, thumb, and hand.
    I chose her!
She did as promised, sent me home to clean it in proper steps for a while.

"Why didn't you come back?", she asked.
    "I didn't know I was supposed to"
"We told you after the final operation to come back for 8 weeks"
"I'm deaf; I did not hear that at all. What will you do?"

"The others want to operate again (had 4 surgeries already).
I think I can fix the scar they want to fix with surgery, and do it without surgery"
    [Man I love medical women!]
Instead of reopening your hand to remove scar tissue with an operation, I can massage therapy for the same results, but more time is needed"
She did. I speak with five digits anew.

    Small:
The landscaper's beloved dog died 3/7/2012. He was distraught.
He sent me a text message with a picture of his dog, in a red convertible, in better days. "RIP 3/7/2012"
I replied that when the dog was near, he (the landscaper) seemed always at peace.
Now it is the dog's turn to be at peace.
His reply the next day showed me God was in the mix, (Believer under way!)
just as God was in the mix by sending me a woman who could save digits and fix scars and lumps.

Blessed are the merciful; they shall receive mercy.....Matthew 5
Blessed are those who mourn; they shall be comforted.....Matthew 5

We move closer to Easter daily. A Resurrection reminder.
But first, a time to draw near, and a time of exquisite pain.

Blessed are the Rosel's, they shall be loved by God deeply.......Keystone 5
