I'm so tired of hearing that the government will bail out this and that company or business, or the bailout money will go to some projects that do not really have significance for people who are suffering right now. I'm talking about the many who have lost their homes, their jobs, can't afford their medical expenses, nor even to buy food that they used to enjoy perhaps. People who are worried in making ends meet who don't have any other resources to recover.
Politicians keep promising that they will help these people. Only God knows that their self interest sometimes go first, than helping out others. They have hopeful words but their actions show something else otherwise. They had grown deaf and numb in listening to what the majority of people want. Yes, they might seem to get away with all these lack of irresponsibility and lack of regards with the needy ones. But we must remember that there is only One Who sees all of our actions and sees our hearts. [1Samuel 16:7 - "The Lord doesn't make decisions the way you do! People judge by outward appearance but the Lord looks at a person's thoughts and intentions."].
A lot of people still don't believe that there is only One God Who sees us all. I had read this somewhere: "what an unbeliever gets on earth may lasts a lifetime, but what you get from following God lasts forever." [1Kings 8:60 -"May people all over the earth know that the Lord is God and that there is no other God."
I thank God that despite this economic turmoil we're all going through, because of His grace, I have nothing to be afraid of. God is my all and all security. Why am I not worried? Because Jesus said, "So I tell you, don't worry about everyday life - whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes. Doesn't life consist of more than food and clothing? Look at the birds. They don't need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to Him than they are. Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not." "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."[Matthew 6:25-27, 34].
We shouldn't be marveling with material things nor possessions. They don't give us the contentment that we need in this troubling times. Jesus alone is our security! Worrying only affects our health more which in turn makes us unproductive in some ways or perhaps make us negative towards others. When we trust in Jesus, we will learn to have contentment in all things that we have or don't have. We'll have that kind of concern instead to do things in a positive way. God will always be there for us, no matter what circumstances we are in. Thank You Lord!
