Leave Us Alone!

“Sorry to bother you guys!” stated the county’s attorney.

“It’s not your fault…You’re not bothering us…It’s him…” I replied as I pointed at the big picture on the middle of the wooden table.

There were 6 of us sitting around that conference table at work, yesterday. We were summoned by two of our county’s attorneys to hear each of our sides. One inmate was suing the county with allegations that care was not given to his emergency kind of needs and that, his medications were not given, or that a deputy left him all alone while he was waiting to be booked in the jail. Claiming that he dozed off and fell.

How could we [staff] all remember when this inmate was incarcerated 5 years ago? Who would recall what we did or not or what we saw?

That was where documentation helped! As we all sat down and reviewed each paperworks from his chart, everything was recorded. The Intake Nurse who took him in, did everything she could do, initiating all the necessary protocols to have all of his treatments and medications started right away. I caught it in our medication form and brought it up to our lawyer, that when he came in to the jail, all of his medications were given right away the following day. And our doctor saw him the following day. The claims that he fell, all of those incidences, he was sent to the ER to be treated and evaluated, though ER doctors didn’t find any damage.

I sent him to ER, too, at one time, after claiming that he fell from a chair while we were doing his blood sugar tests. I noted that his sugar was low, but my written notes showed that I treated him appropriately and I sent him to ER anyway because of his fall. Our doctor backed me up and told the lawyers that his sugar level was not even that of an emergency.

Then, the lawyers told us, “We don’t think he has a case but it’s just out of formality because the judge will be hearing about this next week. His own lawyer doesn’t even think he has a good, solid basis to bring all these accusations because he does have a lot of prior history of suing many people. That day that he was arrested, he battered his own sister. And when the deputy brought him to the hospital, he claimed that he fell at that moment…”

They were interrupted when a deputy walked in and introduced himself to the attorneys.

The lawyers gave him a piece of paper where deputies logged on whenever they would check on inmates.

“I don’t even see my name on it. That was not my shift still at that time that he was brought to the jail,” stated the deputy.

The lawyer smiled…

“He brought up your name and you were not even working at that time. How did he get your name? Either he just recalled reading your tag and attached you to his claim. We’re on to something here…”

Our highest supervisor and our medical doctor both noted the medical staff’s charting and they determined that appropriate care was given every time he claimed he fell or he had low blood sugar level. All his medications, appropriate diet were all given while he was incarcerated.

“I don’t think it will even go for a trial,” exclaimed the attorneys. And at that point, he let us all go…

Every day, we have a good accuser who just wants to tell lies all the time! He doesn’t even care that the Judge knows it all. He just tries his best to accuse God’s children of wrong doings, of being incapable of doing the work that the Lord started in each of His children. He would love to just try about anything to stop believers from becoming effective in the works for the Kingdom.

To Satan and your army, I say, “You’re already defeated!

“The sWORD destroys you!!!, so leave us alone!”

And to the Judge, “the glory is Yours forever and ever, for all ages to come! Thank You!!!”

“6One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. 7The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it." [Job1:6-7;NIV]

"The farmer plants the Word. Some people are like the seed that falls on the hardened soil of the road. No sooner do they hear the Word than Satan snatches away what has been planted in them.” [Mark 4:14

“Jesus said, "I know. I saw Satan fall, a bolt of lightning out of the sky. See what I've given you? Safe passage as you walk on snakes and scorpions, and protection from every assault of the Enemy. No one can put a hand on you. All the same, the great triumph is not in your authority over evil, but in God's authority over you and presence with you. Not what you do for God but what God does for you—that's the agenda for rejoicing." [Luke 10:18]

“Jesus said, "The voice didn't come for me but for you. At this moment the world is in crisis. Now Satan, the ruler of this world, will be thrown out. And I, as I am lifted up from the earth, will attract everyone to me and gather them around me." He put it this way to show how he was going to be put to death.” [John 12:30]

“'I'm sending you off to open the eyes of the outsiders so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light, see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God. I'm sending you off to present my offer of sins forgiven, and a place in the family, inviting them into the company of those who begin real living by believing in me.'“ [Acts 26:17]

“The Anarchist's coming is all Satan's work. All his power and signs and miracles are fake, evil sleight of hand that plays to the gallery of those who hate the truth that could save them. And since they're so obsessed with evil, God rubs their noses in it—gives them what they want. Since they refuse to trust truth, they're banished to their chosen world of lies and illusions.” [2Thessalonians 2:9]

  1. I pray daily that GOD will bind up the enemy and thwart his plans against me. Too often, I do not think people realize he is real and comes to kill and destroy. Thankfully, we have a Heavenly Father who reigns victorious over the evil one.

  2. Your writing about this is needed now. So many are going through trials that SEEM SO REAL, but we know Satan has been defeated as you wrote. Great scriptures here to inspire. Personally, the trial seems to be getting hotter for me; so I'm more passionate than ever to study the Word and STAND on it.

    Love you,
    Mary

  3. You know just being in the fire with God knowing that He will never leave us alone, only makes our spiritual character known for all who witness how we emerge as a testimony for our faith in God.

  5. This is such a truth. The enemy is always accusing us. We need to remember to stand firm, resist the devil and he will flee from us.

    Rich blessings to you!

  6. I'm so grateful that Jesus already defeated Satan. I'm glad that we have that great day to look forward to when Jesus will return in power and set up His Kingdom here on earth.

May we each live alertly until that day comes, making the most of our time.

  7. this is a great reminder. I forget we are in a battle and have an enemy that wants us to fail. Your analogies are so right on. You know RCUBE, you have an amazing ministry - you know how to shine His light. Thank you again for being you. And yep, once again, I want to tell you to stay strong. Sarah

  8. All of your documentation of truth would mean nothing, if it sat in the book and chart unannounced.

But you proclaimed the truth aloud; the lawyers (judge!) listened.

Satan is a created being. He can NOT read your mind. He listens for the spoken word, to determine where he can prick and probe and establish strongholds.

When you voice your fears aloud, he exascerbates and amplifies upon them.

Our words fuel his evil, or douse it completely. The words that are effective are from the documentations and records of the Holy Spirit....a record of TRUTH, called the Bible.

    Say them aloud!
God can read your mind and silence is fine when talking to God. But in dealing with Satan, speak up.

In the desert under temptation, Christ did not "think" his response to satan's temptations, He quoted aloud Scripture of the Old Testament.

You must speak the truth from your documentation; the Bible....aloud for satan to hear that you are Standing Firm on God's Word..

Luke 10:18 above is powerful. Read all of that section (and I recommend NIV over the Message, as it is closer to the original manuscripts of truth. The Message is an interpretation where you depend on the word of Eugene Peterson over the Holy Spirit). Use the Message as a supplement to modern vernacular, but the Word of God to bring the Counselor, Comforter, Holy Spirit into the mix.

(Compare Luke 10:18 above with the NIV Bible).

You should all have an arsenal or the written word memorized to speak aloud and move the kingdom of darkness into setback.

Psalm 91 is excellent for this,
The entire section of Luke 10, as well as 10:18.

2Corinthians 10:5 says "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ". SPEAK it.

Hardest to detect is not the outright liar. He exposes himself with too many lies. Satan has a far more difficult pattern to discern.
Those who have a thread of truth, wrapped inside a cord of lies, give the cord an "appearance of truth"...but it is deception and lies nonetheless.

Christ said "I am the Way, the LIGHT, and the Truth"
Pilate looked directly at truth and asked "What is TRUTH?". He was unable to recognise it in front of his face.

2 Corinthians 11:14 gives an indication to another who adopts such blinding technique:
"And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of LIGHT."

When an angel of LIGHT speaks and tempts, it is very difficult to discern, for they wrap a thread of truth within the lies to trap, destroy, and harm, and confuse you.

Begin to discern the angel of light.
    They are good at concealment.

    But take heart!
It takes very little of the Holy Spirit to defeat all the power of the evil spirit!

The Blood of Christ pumps life to souls, whether you need A, O, B, A+, A- or any other type....he covers them all.

When you feel disoriented, confused, deceived, betrayed, rejected....start to look where that is coming from. The enemy.
And when he masquerades as angel of light, FEW can perceive the deception.
Read your documentation (Bible) and read it ALOUD.

James says: "Submit to God. Resist satan and he will flee from you".
    Some versions say "Choose God".
    But note the order.
Align with God, His Word, and then resist aloud (even softly under your breath if needed in an occasion....satan is at your lips listening to your words....and God's Word make him flee.

  9. @ Keystone: I have recently been reading the Message because of the plain explanation it has and I try to make it more understandable for those who don't know the Lord yet. I do love the NIV and I read Luke 10:18 from it..Powerful! But I love verse 20 the most!
At work, even before entering that dark place, I bind the enemies in the Precious Name of our Lord Jesus. Even if it's busy, it's always not that bad when I'm working. Of course, I'm bragging about the Lord's power. I tell my co-workers, I always pray before working. Some said "amen", some don't know what to say. I will remember your advice, to speak His Word...But the most important thing is submit myself first to the Lord...Thank you for your helpful input! Blessings.

Thank you to all of you who came by here. I appreciate your guys' visit and thoughts on this. God bless you all.

  12. Empty smile painted faces
    Extended hands and social graces
Little boys who know their verses
    Women with designer purses

Suits and ties – a bible clutched
Whose hearts the Savior has not touched
Sit in pews as worship starts
With vacant eyes and empty hearts

    Actors trained and singers taught
They sit and rise without a thought
Of who He is, and yet they come
Their gaze is blank—their hearts are numb

    They walk around from day-to-day
With empty words you hear them say
“Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord”
Their sheath is bare—they have no sword.

    A mask of Christianity
    Has become their sad reality
No saving grace - no love is known
The fruit is fake – no seeds are sown

O’ Lord remove their fake veneer
Let them see the Savior’s tear
    Pierce their souls-with fiery darts
Give them life – change their hearts

  13. It is so true that all the enemy does is lie and the only power he has is deception. So as long as we are unclear about what the Truth is, we are easily misled and persuaded to believe what his lying circumstances are telling us. It most definitely is as we depend upon the Spirit of God within us to reveal Truth to us consistently and we grow in the knowledge of Truth that we will recognize the lies and be misled less and less. It is the plan of God from the beginning, that we need Him every minute of every day to commune with us, revealing Himself in Truth. That is why He united Himself with us through the Holy Spirit by our faith in Jesus Christ. We are never without Truth if we will look to find it in the right place. And, as we understand that and live in that union and communion with God, the enemy's lies will have less and less power over us because we will recognize them for what they truly are, LIES!!!!!
    Great Post Rosel!
