The Healing Touch

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. – 1 John 4:1 (NIV)

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. – Matthew 7:15 (NIV)

but test them all; hold on to what is good, - 1 Thessalonians 5:21 (NIV)

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. – 2 Peter 2:1 (NIV)

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD. –Jeremiah 23:16 (NIV)

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, - 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)

It saddened me…to hear from someone I knew…that she felt the energyof something…hoping for a miraculous healing…for an extremity that person injured long time ago. She thought the person administering the healing was touching her…When she wasn’t. And that person explained that it was “the energy…”

I told her not to be angry with me. I just wanted to make her aware. Out of concern. For her to be more careful about such things. Because of many deceptions from the spirit world. As I prayed silently. And thanked God for His truth…

Healing touch…As I believe in the healing that also comes from the Lord. But I also hear and see many manifestations that are not mentioned in the Bible. His Word. So many deceptions around us. As humans, we are always inclined to expect wonderful display of God’s power. But as followers, the Bible says, we are to worship “by faith” and not by sight. We are to follow Jesus by Spirit and His Truth…

But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live." – Exodus 33:20 (NIV)

Only His doctrine will guide us against such spirits of errors!

Lord, please give us, your children your gift of discernment. Thank You for Your truth!

  3. RCUBEs,

I'm trying to catch up on your posts. I've been away. I want to thank you for addressing this. I have seen the video on another blogger's site earlier this year. Its quite an eye opener, isn't it? It rests heavily on those of foreign cultures. indeed, we must pray without ceasing for discernment in these days. The enemy has stepped up his pace to tear down God's Kingdom. He's running scared. He knows his time is short. We must be informed...vigilant...but not walk in fear. We have been given the authority over this kind of false spirit that claims truth. We must remember the the enemy is not creative. He has to try and copy or duplicate everything the Lord has ever done or created. He's a copycat.

We are the head and not the tail! God will give us the wisdom and discernment if we ask for it...seek His face rather than the face the world flaunts in front of us.

Good for you! keep your eyes and ears open to the truth. You were a viable witness to this friend. I'm proud that you stood against the false spirit.

blessings to you and your family
So enjoyed your posts on your son's graduation!
Blessings to him for the journey before him...
    you have taught him well.
Still praying for God's anointed touch on your son's allergies...
    in Jesus name!

God bless you as you trust in His WORD

  7. Hi Rcubes, have you read Ian Andrews' books and watch his videos? My former church invited him once to our services and I'd read 2 of his books on healing. I found them quite encouraging. There are christians gifted with this ministry of healing in the name of Jesus and not by any other spirits of course. I'm believing in God for my own healing and restoration physically and spiritually. I just put my comment here for the purpose of asking you to read up his books if you can get them and share with me what you think. :) I agree that we have to be careful of deceptive spirits. Right now, I'm a little confused in my christian walk. While we guard ourselves of deceptive spirits, what about some of the hostile attitudes of some church leaders whom in the name of upholding the doctrines of the church pound down hard on its members. What spirits are those? This is the issue that has stumbled me these last 5 yrs. Anyway, now I've moved out to another church and hope I can function as a child of God again. God bless you Rcubes. Btw, I hope your work-problem is resolved?

    1. I don't doubt the healing that comes from the Lord...I believe there are also those who are gifted with this. I'm just glad we have His truth and if Jesus alone is not glorified, that's when I start doubting anyone and the things they do. We are told from His Word that the spiritual enemies can also disguise themselves as "angels of light"...Regarding the hostile attitudes of such church members and leaders, that is sad as we know the fruits of the Holy Spirit and if anyone claims he or she is following the Lord Jesus, then, we can determine if that's true just by looking at their fruits...

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." - 1 John 1:7

I pray that it is the Lord's wisdom and discernment that will guide you as you draw near to the Lord.

Thank you for your visit and comment and like what I had mentioned from past posts, I was demoted. But by God's grace, that became an advantage though I work lesser hours. He alone is all we need in all areas of our lives. God bless and protect you also, sister.

Thanks for posting it. And Rosel I made a video of His power in nature. If you watch it....I hope you enjoy it. Nothing is more awesome or greater than HIm. BTW it's posted on my blog.
