Opposites

They say they work hard…but all night long, they are just in front of the computer, surfing the web, shopping, playing games.

They say they have compassion…but they yell profanities to those inmates seeking medical treatment.

They say they labor and endlessly work…but sometimes, they fall asleep on their chairs when supervisors are not around or spend long breaks.

They say they wish the best for others…but their gossiping reflects what flows from the hearts.

They say they love others…but are always hungry to hear about rumors and want to hear that bad things are happening.

They say they are fair…but they are biased with their decisions and treatment with others.

This is what goes on at my work. I wish and pray that they will come to know the “contradiction in the Bible”:

  1. I love this video. It is short and so powerful. Without the love of Jesus Christ there can be no salvation for anyone. The post is very well put too. So often many use religion as a crutch and then live lives that are full of gossip and profanity and hatefulness. I see it often when I am out on Sunday afternoon, people who cut you off in traffic or in the store check out lines have recently just come from religgous services.

  8. These things happen everywhere. God's forgiveness often amazes me. We don't deserve his love or forgiveness. Thank the Lord, it's not something we need to earn. I pray to always honour God in everything I do (not just everything I say).

  9. FOOD for thought and a great reminder to me to take heed to my behaviour while at work. I want to reflect HIM, not me.

Hope you're doing well Sis. (((hugs)))

  10. This is the beautiful irony of our faith.

    Our King's crown
    was one of thorns.

    In His Kingdom, the first
    are last.

    And the last
    are first.

The stone that the builders rejected
    is our cornerstone.

    His power is perfect
    in our weakness.

We have been crucified with Christ
    yet we live.

  11. We live in a "Fallen" world. Sin entered in, carnality and death came as a result. You see it, because your eyes have been opened by the Lord. Your precious heart is filled with compassion and the love of Christ for the spiritually blind and lost. May the joy of the Lord fill mind and soul, then overflow from your heart for Jesus. Your points stretch far beyond the walls of the Correctional facitity, as you know. Do not dispair, my sister. God is in control, Jesus is Savior to all, and the Holy Spirit is inside your heart to guide and teach you marvelous things that are out of this world. Please rejoice with me. Jesus loves us! May your ministry of the written Blog rach each and every eye & heart of those prepared in advance for that Devine appointment. Blessings.
