Stain Remover

"Oh, no!!!" I kept staring on the right-side pocket of my white lab coat. The marker I carried with me in that pocket, along with other pens I used for work, must have bled through that pocket without me knowing. The black ink just didn't looked good and marred the appearance of my whitish uniform.

I didn't really feel like buying another lab coat. It was still almost as new. I opened one of the shelves where I kept the "stain remover". I was mumbling softly to myself, "It's gotta' work...C'mon...You better work..." [Good thing there was no one around me. I don't think it looks great if someone sees me talking to myself :) ]... Keeping my faith on that "wonderful stain remover", down to the washer my lab coat went and added a half-scoop of the white laundry powder.

Waiting cycle after cycle of intermittent turning around and being re-rinsed again, I heard the washer stopped. With much anticipation of the outcome, I scooped up the white lab coat and immediately checked to see if the stain was gone on the right side of the pocket. "Yes!", I was rejoicing that I didn't need to buy one. My white lab coat looked renewed, minus that stain.

My mind wandered as I put the lab coat inside the dryer....

"Lord, You are our "stain remover!" If we have faith that You will remove our sins and take away the dark areas in our lives, Your cleansing power works! "It's free!" Our marred life tangled in sins is renewed because You erase those sins. Thank You Lord, the true Stain Remover of our souls!"

Ephesians 2:4-9 -"But God was merciful! We were dead because of our sins, but God loved us so much that He made us alive with Christ, and God's wonderful kindness is what saves you. God raised us from death to life with Christ Jesus, and He has given us a place beside Christ in heaven. God did this so that in the future world He could show how truly good and kind He is to us because of what Christ Jesus has done. You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn't something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about." [CEV].
