Keep Writing For God

I noticed the difference…Long ago…When a lot of friend bloggers would come and visit. Or I, myself, would go also to all of your sites. I saw it waning. I knew some of you had gone through mountains of trials. As I did. My faith-filled days being replenished with doubts as I went through a trial at work. Suddenly, the leveled path I was walking on was replaced with a huge mountain up ahead in the distance. My steps, becoming more laborious. My sight, obscured with the height of impossibilities.

How often I asked the God of Zion… To remove this mountain in front of me…And as the days turned into months and months into years, the mountain was still there. He never removed it. He just showed me which road to take.

I know our trials in life can be overwhelming. Many times, I feel like putting down my pen and just stop blogging. I often thought maybe that’s what He wants. For me to stop writing. But that thought doesn’t go with what He commands for me to do…To share the Good News to those who haven’t heard. Even through blogging…

The defeat that I almost accepted I refused instead. The truth sank in…Deep in my heart and mind. That even if God doesn’t move the mountain in front of me, He never fails to strengthen me and accompany me in this journey. He wanted to increase my faith instead. True enough, what a lesson it was for me…The defeat I thought I had from battling those people in higher positions, was replaced with certainty that in Jesus, I would never lose. In fact, I had gained much more. Looking back and I can’t say I have fully conquered this mountain, but despite the higher ground I still need to climb, Jesus reminds me over and over again…That many times in my life, He will not move that mountain…

My faith will…Because when I do, that shows how much I really long to follow Him. Despite the obstacles. Despite the mountains.

So, I ask…not for you to visit me…But to continue writing from your hearts…Do not lose the love and joy poured into your heart by the Lord…The number of posts do not matter even…But what you write from your hearts,  whether from joyful or sad times of your journeys, do not give up. Because in doing so, you just never know if you are helping a visitor or a friend increase their faith because of your experiences and the things of God you discover in each step you take. But the best part is to be able to share the Good News to those wandering in their journeys. So them, too may learn there is God Who is mighty to save anyone from their troubles.

Blessings to you all!

  1. Sweet sister, I'm so glad you continue blogging. My visits may not always be consistent but I always return. I love to read your posts and listen to your heart of love. Few nurses could work in the environment you are in and yet I still see you as a light there. I continue to blog. I have many people in my sphere of influence who are not yet believers so I continue to write from my heart. I do believe we get to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus through our blogging. If even one person is impacted, it's well worth it.

    Thank you for the encouragement.

    Love you,
    Debbie

  2. A very good word. Thank you. There needs to be more and more writers that write about God's strengths in their weaknesses. Those are the types of posts that draw me in personally. Many blessings. :-)

  3. I am so pleased you're continuing to blog for God, dearest Rozelle. I also don't get around often, but I never forget a sister-in-Christ. You keep the Light of Jesus burning in your workplace and on Blogger. Bless you. Jo

  4. Your faithfulness to be His mouthpiece to this generation inspires me. You are right about many personal concerns keeping others from blogging as they used to. But like you, I believe that blogging by committed Christian blog writers is an important tool to redeeming the cyberspace, to keep it from being taken over by the enemy. And I too am determined to keep blogging, even if it means only one post a month these days... but I believe there will be a change in my tight blogging schedule soon. Many things have been happening, many things worth sharing with others. This post of yours is an encouragement to me. I have gone back to read the rest of the posts you wrote for August. As always, I appreciate your sharing with us the events at your workplace, yes, and you sharing the love of Christ to your fellow workers and the inmates. Know that I am one of those truly blessed by your ongoing commitment to keep the fire of Jesus alive in blogland. Blessings of peace to you. By the way my daughter and I will be in LA this November. How far from Gardena do you live? I would love to meet you face to face, even just for coffee.

  6. What an inspiring post! I always had that thought myself to delete my blog, but then I always had a little spirit within me telling me not to and to keep moving. This is also great for myself to reflect on my journey.
That mountain thing is very true as well. I still have mountains but Jesus is giving me a trail to go around until I meet the top. God is a mystery, but its all for His glory!
Hugs and blessings my dear ♥

  7. From heart to heart...that is what blogging is like to me. The Lord tells us to go tell and share his mercies and you do that so very well my friend.

  8. A wise and encouraging post. Thank you for continuing to share the Good News through your blog. I am always inspired by your love of God and yes, He lets us go through trials in order to increase our faith. He is more cconcerned with our holiness than our happiness, I believe.

  9. "Christ was also chosen out of the people that he might know our wants and sympathize with us. “He was tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin.” In all our sorrows we have his sympathy. Temptation, pain, disappointment, weakness, weariness, poverty—he knows them all, for he has felt all. Remember this, Christian, and let it comfort thee. However difficult and painful thy road, it is marked by the footsteps of thy Saviour; and even when thou reachest the dark valley of the shadow of death, and the deep waters of the swelling Jordan, thou wilt find his footprints there. In all places whithersoever we go, he has been our forerunner; each burden we have to carry, has once been laid on the shoulders of Immanuel".

    "Charles Spurgeon"

Those most effective and "enduring" are those who do what they do first and foremost for the glory and good pleasure of God. When every other motivation or reason has failed them....they remain because above all things they are there for God.

  11. What a timely post, Rosell. I haven't really blogged for a very long time--or been reading blogs since Google Reader went away, but today I found a different feed to be able to read my blogs on, and this is the first post I read. Maybe the Lord is sending me a message through you. (((HUGS)))

  12. So beautiful you are dear sister and "write" to the heart you go. You have always deeply inspired me in this journey of life and blogging about it. My trials have overtaken my life at this point but I do still blog when I am able because it is "beautiful" and "God" is beautiful along with His message for His people and the friends that we have met along this journey here are wonderful.

I had to stop in this day to say "thank you" for all that you are here, for all of who you are in Him. You are "Beautiful" and I am so very blessed to call you friend and sister in Christ.

    Love you,
    Allelluiabelle
