With Your Power And Might

I had posted a prayer request earlier. Please scroll down to see my previous post and please visit bro. Andy's site at "Insights From The Bible."

As I came home after dropping off my son at his school, I asked for the Lord to give me a new song to praise Him as I haven't played my guitar in a while. And He is always faithful to grant that request every time we ask from our heart. Within 5-10 minutes, He gave me a song.

I want to thank You Lord for all of Your blessings. For another day in our lives. Days that go by so fast, like sands slipping through fingers. But You constantly remind us, that when we seek You first, You are always there, wanting us to do that and wants to bless us in return. Thank You Lord for Your faithful love and mercy. Thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne of grace as You see Jesus' righteousness when we do so. You provide everything. And we don't deserve anything.

Forgive us for the times that we don't seek You. When we are lost in this world's busyness and find excuses not to be still and give time to see Your face. Please forgive us when we maximize our trials and forget that there is nothing impossible with You. Give us a heart surgery Lord. And help us continue to grow in Your grace and knowledge.

Yet, You continue to love us unconditionally. I love You Lord. I pray for You to fill all of Your children's hearts with Your Spirit. So that we die everyday and let Jesus in us increase. Give us the boldness to share the Good News. Give us discernment and protect us at all times O Lord. Thank You. Praise Your Holy Name. I have witnessed the power of me just saying Your mighty Name "Jesus" and the enemy cowers.

Thank You that we have Your mighty weapons and power to be able to fight. Yes, we will stand. Even in these evil days. Because You never leave us nor forsake us. Glory be to You O Lord forever and ever. I pray all of these in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.

With Your Power and Might
[song by: Daddy and rcubes 2/1/10

This road was not easy for me

Sometimes, I got weak and weary

When I fell, I felt like surrendering

‘Til You came along and reached out to me

Chorus:

And this child fights with Your power and might

I don on Your armor and know that I can stand

With Jesus, I can claim a total victory

Yes, I’ll fight…with Your power…and might

This road is never easy, now I know

But the truth is that You’re there beside me

You fill me up with grace and mercy

You lived for God but you died for me

[Repeat Chorus]

Fading:

….only Jesus

…..Only with Jesus

  5. Dear Sister,

    I am being touched so much today by so many readings and then I come here and Oh My My My My My. You touch me to the very depths of my being. God is doing some very, very powerful things in this blogging community...yes He surely is. I don't know what to say, I'm left speechless with such love and fullness in my mind and heart here and your song, so absolutely beautiful from the Lord. He gives me melodies while praying in tongues and gives you words, wouldn't it be wonderful to combine it all? Oh what a powerful ever living majestically beautiful God we have, we serve, we love, we adore, we worship, we obey...we live for.

    Thank you my sweet sister. Thank you. I love you so much.

    Big Hugs,
    Alleluiabelle

  8. I never know which lines you post will stick out like a shining light in my eyes and heart.
    I was sure it was the Armor of God, for I am well acquainted with that, the battle against darkness, and how it is done effectively.

    In a talk with God, I was exasperated with no pastors preaching Ephesians 6:10-20 anywhere anymore. I lamented to Him: "Why don't You inspire the pastors of today to preach this vital message?"

    His respoinse was immediate, and to the point, regarding Spiritual Warfarers. He said:
    "It takes very little of my Holy Spirit to defeat ALL the power of the evil spirit.
    I only need a few".

    And in that moment I understood why there is little preaching on the Armor and how to employ it. It is so powerful that God "only needs a few".
    Be a "few". Learn it and ask Him how to employ you in your new duds you wear. He will.

    But that was not the line to attract me here this day. This one was:

    " I pray for You to fill all of Your children's hearts with Your Spirit. So that we die everyday and let Jesus in us increase."

    So many believe that once you become Christian, well,....hoitee toitee you!
    The job is done.
    Some come to Christ in a lightning bolt moment (St. Paul comes to mind).
    But most folks I know come in a marinated period of time. They grow daily and also falter.

    Recently, I read of a castigation on Christians who divorce. The thrust was that the number of Christians who divorce is in line with the number of nonChristians who divorce. Therefore, they were not really Christian.
    This is a lie.

    Christians sin just about every day.
    There is no caste system of Christians as in India.
    There is no First Class to Third Class system of Christian as on the Titanic, although all of us ride the Titanic called Earth, and dance to the music, as the Earth sinks daily.

    "Die every day and let Jesus increase" is an awesome line above.
    It is the equivalent to jumping into the lifeboats, and having enough boats for all as we leave Titanic Earth.

    Yes our lives are a wisp as was recently discussed. But within that wisp, you can see the whole thing before it gradually fades.
    The fading is due to partaking in a new dimension, for the entire wisp.

    We do the same as we increase in Christ.
    The old wisp fades and the invisible wisp of our lives, becomes visible in His Kingdom.

    There is plenty of room at the table for sinners. Jesus always made sure of that.
    If not, I would be doomed.
    There would be no lifeboat for me.

    We were saved at the Cross, but told to "work out our salvation". Rosel's line above states the same truth oh so beautifully.

    Though Rosel makes music with God via guitar, we do the same with our lives.
    Musicians on the Titanic did too; they played "Nearer my God to Thee"....a wisp song.

    And Nearer my God to Thee, is the same as Christ INCREASING in me.
    What a lovely line to ponder.

  11. In the new birth, the Holy Spirit supernaturally gives us new spiritual life by connecting us with Jesus Christ through faith. Or, to say it another way, the Spirit unites us to Christ where there is cleansing for our sins, and he replaces our hard, unresponsive heart with a soft heart that treasures Jesus above all things and is being transformed by the presence of the Spirit into the kind of heart that loves to do the will of God (Ezekiel 36:27).

  13. In every communion, we eat the bread of life and drink His blood. Though disguised as bread and wine, or perhaps grape juice yet to ferment, the part going to our body is insignificant. The body dies.

    But a spiritual nourishment occurs at all communion. Those who partake at the table feed and nourish our spirit, which lives eternally. He told us that is so.

    "Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in you."
    ~~~John 6:53 (my emphasis)
    Partaking in communion puts eternal life spiritually into the spirit of us all who eat and drink.
    IKE has told the truth.
    Communion is the method.
    Partake, and live eternally with the Bread of Life, the Vine!
    The last line of the post says the same:
    "This road is never easy, now I know
    But the truth is that You’re there beside me
    You fill me up with grace and mercy
    You lived for God but you died for me
    [Repeat Chorus]
    Fading:
    ….only Jesus
    …..Only with Jesus "
    Eat!
    Drink!
    And be Merry!
    Forever!
    .... Only with Jesus
