It Always Brings Me To Tears

This song always brings me to tears. As I do so right now that I am typing my thoughts and worship Him this morning. Lately, the Lord has bringing to mind to "always look up to Him as He was nailed on that cross". Going through trials or not, I know He is reminding me of His faithful and unconditional love. Day after day. Like what He is doing now to me. He is reminding me that He gave His life for me [us] because He loved me [us]first. This morning, I felt like taking a blog break. And seek Him first in everything and surrender everything. I don't know at this time. I know where He wants me to go first. To be at the foot of the cross and "look up" to Him. Let His blood drip over me. Be cleansed. Be healed.

Friends, there is nothing more or less that we can do that will make our Lord love us more. He loves us. Period. We have received His gift of forgiveness. But it doesn't stop there. He wants us to look up to Him and be cleansed. Day after day. We need daily repentance. And submit everything to His Lordship.

"And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." - Philippians 4:8

Who is true? Honorable? Righteous? Pure? Lovely? Admirable? Excellent? Worthy of praise?

None but Jesus!!! Let us put Jesus into our minds.

O Lord, thank You for reminding me to look up to You on that cross. Like what that song said, You thought of us above all...Help us do the same. To focus our minds and hearts on You. Above all...Thank You for loving us first. Your cross...A plus [+] sign. That's what we get when we start living our lives with You. Everything is a plus. Thank You Lord for Your wisdom. Thank You Lord for Your guidance. Thank You Lord for Your healing. Thank You Lord for all Your provisions. Thank You Lord for Your love and mercy. I love You Lord.

Lord, I want nothing or no one else but You. Use me Lord and let Your will be done for the rest of my life's journey. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

  2. Beautiful Precious Sister,

That is what you truly are to me a beautiful precious sister. I just read your "Beautiful" prayer for my sister at my blog...I am deeply blown away. Your heart is so full of love for our Lord as is mine and then I come here and read this amazing beautiful loving post...yes, I took in my mind and breathed into my soul every word that you wrote here. It has penetrated deeply my beautiful precious friend. (I just got a call from my nephew from the hospital it is 12:16 P.M. and they just took my sister up for surgery now.) How timely it is for me to be reading your post right now as I received this call. He knows and His timing is always perfect.

I love you so much and I feel you and so many others with me and with my dear beautiful sister and her family today.

God bless you my beautiful precious sister today,
    Alleluiabelle

  3. My daughter knows I can not hear, but I read voraciously. Among my favorite delights is the thrill I get when she has taken the time to listen to a song she loves, secretly take a tablet, and hand print all the lyrics.

She then puts the folded page into a book I am reading, or about to read, (often in my Bible).
When I come to the page and see the words printed out---the above is a Michael W. Smith song she wrote out for me---I read the song that inspired a young girl to lift pen to paper....out of love.

I cannot put the musical instruments together, nor the cadence, or voice, but I can always find the message and intent of what is being said.
You made me think of my daughter with this post.

Somehow, instead of a break from blogging, and spending time with Him, I have a suspicion that He is Above, and thinking to Himself.....
"that post makes Me think of My Daughter, Rosel". And then a big grin crosses His face.
It is a serendipity moment for me, and surely, for the Ancient of Days as well.

Philippians 4:8 is my favorite verse in the Bible. Rosel writes this truism:
"Who is true? Honorable? Righteous? Pure? Lovely? Admirable? Excellent? Worthy of praise?

None but Jesus!!! Let us put Jesus into our minds"

Romans 12:1-2 tells us the purpose of our life.
    It says:
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your SPIRITUAL act of worship.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

This message tells us WHY we live...our purpose. But Philipians 4:8 tells us HOW to do this! It is the key answer on HOW to live your life, in order to be transformed by the renewing of your mind!

Take those 8 traits of Christ and make them your own by thinking on these things this way....every day, think on three of each item that apply to YOU.

    What is true?
    1) God loves ME. (You come up with 2 more)

    What is honorable?
1)My daughter is inspired to send me hand written messages, so I don't miss out. It is Christ who inspires her. Most honorable for a father to receive, eh?

    What is Righteous?
1)The young grocery store clerk does not know a parsnip from a carrot and rang up a price $4 too low. I explained to her the difference in veggie and the additional price to charge me.
As a man, I would walk away with profit.
As a transformed "living sacrifice", I reveal Christ in showing/adopting righteousness.
[It is a breastplate to guard my heart in Christ.....Ephesians 6:10-20]

    What is pure?
    1) When I take communion, at church or at home, my body eats bread and wine (or grape juice...unfermented fruit of the VINE, off the BRANCHES). My body eats these things and is nourished.
But MY spirit eats these things too as "Eating my flesh and drinking my blood in order that the spirit have eternal life"
Communion is purity in itself, and purity in obedience to eat the Bread of Life and drink the blood to live eternally.

    What is lovely?
1)When I sleep, Christ takes over my unconscious state and protects me from all harm, restores my body and soul, makes new cells to replace the dead cells in my flesh, and does this without me even waking up and noticing. What Good News for me! Lovely work.

Now you do the same and come up with three items of "Christ" in this list, for each of the eight listed. Make them apply to you personally. Just three things that are true for you, pure for you, praiseworthy for you, and so forth.

    Do this for every day for all eight;
soon, your mind will be transformed to no longer conform with the world, but become a "living sacrifice" pleasing to God.
Why are you pleasing doing this? Because you will resemble His Son, Jesus Christ, more and more as you transform.

The purpose of our life is Romans 12: 1-2.
How to achieve that is Philippians 4:8.

The entire Gospel is summed succincly with these two items. Join in the Good News.

I too, have been guilty of trying to earn love from God lately but have to realize that He accepts me the way I am.

  10. Great song. You are so right about seeking Him first. Nothing can take the place of Jesus. Sometimes I don't even get on line until well into the day, but that's okay. The peace and joy of being with Him is nourishing and abundant.
